Far be it from me to defend a multi-millionaire who is now both dull and
MOR/AOR but way back in the 60s things were different. You had to be
there and listening when the Bluesbreakers/Clapton album came out - Les
Pauls and Marshalls together for the first time! Noise! Distorton!
Excitement! The nerve! The arrogance!

A long way, of course from the Old Fart in Armani we see now, but...
