Scott, the place you're thinking of is called "Shake Rattle and Read" and 
it's on Broadway and Lawrence next door to the old Uptown Theatre.  It holds 
a special place in my heart as I was able to find a old copy of Ian Hunter's 
"Diary of a Rock and Roll Star" there a few years ago.
