to whomever asked about them, Pentangle is indeed a great band. get 'Basket of
Light', 'Sweet Child', and 'Cruel Sister', in addition to the s/t, and you'll
be all set. you can't go wrong with Bert Jansch's solo albmus, right up
thru 'Moonshine' (possibly beyond?), either. i personally, i like 'Rosemary
Lane' and 'Jack Orion' best. be a little more selective w/ John Renbourn's
stuff, although he can be great at times.
if you dig Pentangle, check out the new lp by PG Six on Amish rec's, 'Parlour
Tricks and Porch Favorites'. it's an absolutely magnificent acid-folk
treasure, which is an underappreciated and over-heckled genre. there maybe an
ocean of embarrassing records that everyone would like to forget about, but if
you look hard enough, there are some real jewels that are miles above reproach.
