(TV) Slightly Off Topic: White Stripes & Citizen Kane

There's this neat List that not only discusses Television/TV
stuff but whose members recommend great non-Television 
music to each other.  Recently many of you raved about 
"The White Stripes" so this Lister bought their cd, "White 
Blood Cells."  It's quite good.  

My questions: 

a) Does anyone know why neither the cd
itself (my copy is all white with no writing on it) nor 
the liner notes have any copyright notice for the 
White Stripes' lyrics/songs? 

b) Did any of you notice that the lyrics to the cd's 
"the Union Forever"  except for the first and 
last stanza are taken verbatim from the film, "Citizen
Kane", and that the entire melody of the middle of 
song is also from same movie?
