(TV) OT: more bad news--Esquivel and Florian Fricke (Popol Vuh)

JUAN GARCIA ESQUIVEL (1918-2002)

Space-age bachelor pad music impresario Esquivel passed away last 
week, on January 3, at the age of 83.  He died at his Jiutepec, 
Morelos, Mexico home, apparently from the complications of two 
strokes last year.

And as if that weren't enough, Krautrock band Popul Vuh's synthesist 
and composer Florian Fricke died on December 29, also as the result 
of a stroke.  Fricke was also responsible for the gorgeous, ethereal 
soundtrack to Herzog's _Aguirre, the Wrath of God_.
