(TV) Verlaine's ebay guitar

I hate to open this old can of worms, but I was just going
through the list archives and saw all the message threads
dealing w/ the jazzmaster that TV auctioned on eBay (this
was before I joined the list).  Does anyone know what
eventually happened to it?  Was anyone able to verify its
authenticity as thee Marquee moon guitar?  just curious....
