All- I discovered Television over the summer and have listened to MM, Adventure, Blowup, Television, and the New York Singles scene unendingly for the last five months. I need some new blood. What else is out there by TV?
Next step would be Tom's various solo albums. You're a homeboy, right? IIRC, Paul's in Bloomfield has _The Miller's Tale_ overview of Tom's career, and they _might_ have a copy of the first TV solo album on CD. My favorite solo discs, though, are _Dreamtime_, _Flash Light_, _Tom Verlaine_, and...I'm probably going to list them all if I don't stop myself. There are differing opinions about _Words from the Front_ (a fave of mine), _Cover_ (some classic songs), _Warm & Cool_ (instrumental, another fave), and _The Wonder_ (some love it, some don't). And there are Richard Lloyd's four solo records--_Alchemy_ (good songs, delusional keyboard-happy producer), _Field of Fire_ (a return to form), _Real Time_ (live, evil Roland JC-120 sound on the guitars), and _The Cover Doesn't Matter_ (highly recommended).
Then...there's the bootleg scene. But that's another topic. HTH, Maurice -- Maurice Rickard http://mauricerickard.com/ -------------- To post: Mail tv@obbard.com To unsubscribe: Mail majordomo@obbard.com with message "unsubscribe tv"
