I've got to second Ray's recommendation for Simian. Wonderful stuff. I had 
just finished a book about the Syd-era Floyd, and while I certainly wouldn't 
say Simian sounded the same, there's definitely a lot of early Floyd 
influence.

My main recent obsession (apart from the cool new double King Crimson live CD 
and THE QUINE TAPES) has been The White Stripes. Wonderful, amazing stuff.
