Sorry to revisit an old topic but I finally got the chance over the weekend 
to acquaint myself fully with the Velvets' Quine Tapes set, and I have to say 
that the version of "New Age" on disc three (complete with 5 minute bass 
solo) is one of the greatest rock performances I have ever heard.  I am 
seeing Doug Yule in a new light.
