Really?  We rented it a few months ago, and it wasn't as good as I 
remembered.  I dug the Ramones performances a lot, and Clint Howard 
was great, but... there were a lot of missed opportunities that 
seemed to stem from the writers stringing favorite gags together, 
rather than giving the thing a satisfying shape.  I know I'm asking a 
lot from some fluff entertainment here, though.

Oh, man.  That is indeed a great film.  John Lurie's soundtrack is 
wonderful, and the timing in that film is just perfect.  We also have 
rented some of the _Fishing with John_ episodes, which are hilarious. 
The Jarmusch/Waits set is highly recommended, and we dug the Dennis 
Hopper one as well.
