Hi Mooners,

In the recent past there was a thread where ELO came up as an overrated 
band. Someone threw out the question of whether anyone rated them highly 
enough for them to be considered overrated.  This news just in from the Wire 
list I subscribe to:



"In celebration of a new ELO album ("Zoom" due in July) and touring for the 
band this summer and fall, Not Lame is proud to announce this excellent 
collection of Lynne's songs; many artists are yet to be announced but, 
presently, the following have committed(but it still, technically, 
'unofficial' until all songs are received this summer", please understand):
Jason Falkner, Todd Rundgren, Matthew Sweet and Jeffrey Foskett , SWAG 
(featuring members of Wilco, The Mavericks, Cheap Trick), Jamie Hoover 
(Spongetones), Richard Barone, Sixpence None The Richer, The Hollies, Bill 
Lloyd, The Shazam, Bobby Sutliff/Mitch Easter, Neilson Hubbard, Peter 
Holsapple, Ben Lee, Doug Powell, Tony Visconti (yes, the producer), Pray For 
Rain (PFR), Fleming And John, Earl Slick, Ross Rice and many others to be 
announced in the coming months. All bow to the return of the Mighty Lynne 
and hail a truly unique visionary in the history of rock 'n roll."
