(TV) Re: Chris Whitley

Hi'
Anybody familiar with Chris Whitley's stuff. I saw a program
about Robert Johnson and someone did "Hellhounds on my Trail"
playin solo acoustic slide guitar & it was amazing the way he
varied the tempo throught out the song. I think it was Chris
Whitley. He seems to have produced quite a few cd's & I was
wondering how they were.

Ps I picked up a used copy of Jimmy Rip's "Way Past Blue" CD
and haven't really had time to listen closely to it yet. It's
kind of interesting though that he'd put out a blues project.
I never thought about it before but I really don't hear much,
if any blues influence in Tom's guitar playing.
