RE: (TV) OT: Earliest memory of rock

I remember Arthur Brown doing 'Fire' and Julie Driscoll on Top Of 
The Pops in 1968. But I didn't really take a lot of interest until late 
1970. From that time I remember Deep Purple with 'Black Night' 
amongst other things. It was T. Rex's 'Ride A White Swan' that 
really caught my imagination though and was the first single I ever 
bought.
