(TV) Dreaming about Television in Time?
Mooners,
I vaguely remember seeing a short article from either a 1992 Time or Newsweek magazine about the reformation/tour of Television. One particular sentence of this article that sticks in my mind was along the lines of: "...what other band with a fan base this relatively small, would have such a large number of live [bootleg] performances which are so sought after and legendary ...." (or something close to this written in Newsweek-speak or in Timesque ).
Did the now defunct "Unofficial Television Website" by Tom Wizon[?] have this Time/Newsweek article in its large collection? (I don't think so, as before that site's demise, I thought I had printed-out and have all of that site's articles/interviews .)
In a n effort to prove to myself that I am not imagining things or losing my mind, I tried a search of Newsweek's archives back to 1985 which revealed no mention of the word "Verlaine". A search via google.com of first Verlaine, then followed by google's "advanced" search with Time or Newsweek came up with either an infinite amount of irrelevant junk or 5 or 6 (incorrect) results.
Am I dreaming that such an article in Time/Newsweek existed? Does anyone else recall anything remotely resembling this?
Leo
