I don't know about Poindexter, but he was a Slave of New Brunswick for
years.  The Slaves were a group of Central NJ musicians more or less led by
Glenn Burtnick.  Though Burtnick is chiefly known as "the non-blonde
replacement in Styx, the Slaves' CD is a good one, especially if you spent
any time at the Court Tavern.
