(TV) Peter Laughner, TV fan
I recently obtained a couple of Laughner boots. One was with his band
Friction at the Pirate's Cove in Cleveland 11/2/76, and one was a Peter &
the Wolves Practice Tape from 1975.
I must say, quite the TV fan. He introduces the band Friction by spelling
it out, in case you didn't get it already, opens the set with Prove It, and
does a version of Fire Engine that he says was written by 3 or 4 people and
Tom Verlaine. The only words he changed that I noticed was the last words
of Prove It, which he ends with "This case remains wide open". Any thoughts
on why he'd change that line?
Hard to believe that Marquee Moon wasn't even released at the time.
