Looks like Compu$erve suffers from the same problem; Owen's emails
are coming that way.  I've rescued a few of his personal emails to me
from my HTML bit bucket.

I have no frikkin' idea why these people all think HTML as a default
in email is a good idea.  Must be the marketing folks.  I fully support
Douglas Adams' idea as to how to handle them.
