(TV) New Lloyd record

While none of the guitar parts are wound around songs as poppy as the ones
Mr. Lloyd played on Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend, this record has some real
strong songs that surprise you on repeated plays with their catchy parts.
Probably not a radio friendly record (though it should be), but clearly a
Richard Lloyd record with his frank, sometimes awkward and sometimes
touching lyrics, wicked guitar and heartfelt vocals.  Some songs slightly
reminiscent of Alchemy.  The style of guitar on the final song, Cortege,
reminds me of the Allman Brothers' great Blue Sky.  A fine effort.  A-
