(TV) TV-No TV?

I remember reading an interview with Tom V-apparently he didn't even own a
TV set until the late 80s(?),His father had sent him one that he won in a
contest .
I think in the interview Tom also said he was fascinated most by the cheap
local commercials-the homeade ones for Auto shops, etc..
