I think my first exposure to Television was in late 1976 on the John 
Peel show. He had a special "punk" programme. There was a 
session from The Damned, plus stuff like The Stooges, etc.

This may seem fairly stupid now, but then it was a radical step. 
The rock programmes (including Peel's) were full of stuff like Floyd, 
10CC etc.

He played Little Johnny Jewel. I thought it was great and went out 
and bought it at Bonaparte Records in Bromley the following day. 
They were always very good for this kind of stuff.
