Didn't Richard Lloyd's comments, which I posted earlier today,
authenticate the guitar?
Well, I'd a' thought so, but...

Listen dude... I have both a Jaguar and a Jazzmaster pre-CBS both

actually the Jazzmaster with lipsticks in it.... Look for the toggle
switch that Jazzmasters have. The Jaguars have 3-Switch pick up
selector.
I'd be interested in seeing pictures of that one, if you have any, or
have URLs of any on the Web. The Strat he used in Columbus had
chrome lipstick-like p/u covers, too.
There's that one photo in the _Miller's Tale_ booklet where he's
seated, near an amp, wearing a beret, holding what I remember as a
standard Jaguar. (Proof? Counterexample, anyone?) True, he's not
necessarily _playing_ it.... This one doesn't exactly constitute
proof, but it sure looks like a Jag switchplate:

's okay, dude, really.
