RE: (TV) old but new

First read something in Fusion magazine around early 1976 about a poet-musician named Tom Verlaine; first listened to Television in 1977 , but I lost touch after a few years with school and sundry other events distracting me.

Then, living in Brighton I read a review of Tom's first solo record in the fall of 1979 that was so well written and that so intrigued me that I ran out and bought the solo record. I didn't realize immediately that Tom Verlaine was the same person who was in the band Television until the review, and then when it dawned on me, I got out my 2 Television records and wore them out.

Listening to the 1st solo record by Tom and the album MM changed my life ("......I was listening, listening to the rain. I was hearing, hearing something else.").

If there's any interest (hell, even if there's not) I'll post this particular review of the first solo record on the list tomorrow.
